This embedded rail track features a 740-foot-long rail slab, strategically poured in 14 hopscotch-style sections, each measuring 53 feet in length and 18 inches thick. The construction required a tight tolerance of 1/8 inch, both horizontally and vertically, including the rail and concrete.
Our team tied and installed rebar in conjunction with the rail installation. This process required close coordination with primary subcontractors to maintain the alignment throughout each pour. Once the rail was set, the remaining rebar installation was completed.
The slab was carefully shaped to match existing horizontal slopes and vertical curves, ensuring seamless integration with the surrounding paving.
