Description
This project involved the layout, forming, reinforcing steel placement, concrete placement, finishing, and curing of foundations and structural concrete elements required to support the site's processing equipment, material handling systems, and operational infrastructure.
The concrete scope included the construction of reinforced equipment foundations, conveyor foundations, housekeeping pads, slab-on-grade placements, and miscellaneous structural concrete installations. Work activities encompassed subgrade preparation and proof-rolling, establishment of control elevations, installation of formwork systems, placement and tying of reinforcing steel, installation of anchor bolt assemblies and embedded items, and execution of concrete placements in accordance with project specifications and tolerances.
Superior Construction Services furnished and installed reinforcing steel cages and mat foundations, including rebar fabrication, placement, spacing verification, lap splices, dowels, chairs, and tie systems necessary to maintain structural integrity and design cover requirements. Particular attention was given to anchor bolt positioning and embedment coordination to ensure proper alignment and interface with process equipment and conveyor support structures.
The project was successfully completed with close coordination between civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical trades to facilitate the installation of embedded conduit penetrations, sleeves, grounding systems, and equipment anchorage. The completed concrete infrastructure provides the structural foundation necessary to support the site's mining, processing, and material handling operations while meeting the performance requirements established by the construction documents.
